Plan an interception in NOVAGUARD
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Aim an interceptor | Click or tap its destination |
| Charge a larger blast | Hold the pointer or finger down |
| Raise the Barrier | Drag when the overcharge meter is full |
Choose a meeting point, not just a target
Start by watching one incoming group. Pick a point ahead of its movement where several enemies are likely to pass close together. Compare what happens when you target the front of the group and when you target its middle. The useful question after a miss is whether your chosen point was too early, too late or too far to one side.
Use a chain to cover a group
An enemy destroyed inside an explosion can trigger another explosion. Look for a compact group rather than spreading every shot across isolated targets. If a chain leaves one survivor near the city, handle that immediate threat before trying to build a bigger chain elsewhere. A large chain is useful only if it also keeps the city safe.
Tap, charge or raise the Barrier?
Use a quick tap to deal with an immediate isolated threat. Try a charged blast when targets are gathering around one point and you have time to hold. The Barrier requires a full overcharge meter, so check that condition before relying on a drag. These are different inputs; dragging with an empty meter is not a substitute for aiming an interceptor.
Make the next attempt informative
After losing, choose one thing to change: the height of your aim point, which group you address first or when you start charging. Keep the other choices similar for the next attempt. This makes it easier to tell whether the problem was target selection or timing, without assuming a particular upgrade or boss pattern.
